Our TV movie pick for tonight (Friday, 12 June) is The Sparrow, the IFTA-nominated 2022 Irish thriller drama.
When Kevin inadvertedly causes a terrible tragedy, he keeps his involvement a secret. The teen then struggles with guilt "as his world unravels and consequences mount".
Praised upon release for its performances, rich themes, and tense atmosphere, the movie holds a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
The film was also nominated at the IFTA Awards in two categories: Best Actor, for newcomer at the time Ollie West, and Best Sound.
The Sparrow is airing on TV tonight on RTÉ One at 9.35pm. It's currently unavailable to rent or stream so now is the time to watch the movie.
