Our TV movie pick for today (Saturday, 13 June) is the classic Western film The Magnificent Seven.
The 1960 oater, which itself is a remake of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, stars Yul Brynner, Steve McQueen, Charles Bronson, Robert Vaughn, Brad Dexter, James Coburn and Horst Buchholz as a group of gunfighters in the American Old West.
The seven are hired to protect a small village in Mexico from a group of marauding bandits (led by Eli Wallach).
Directed by John Sturges (Bad Day at Black Rock, The Great Escape), the '60s movie was a major commercial and critical hit.
Recently, the streaming service MGM+ greenlit a new eight-part TV series adaptation of The Magnificent Seven from writer Tim Kring (Heroes) starring Matt Dillon (Rumble Fish).
The 1960 version is airing on TV today on BBC Two at 3.15pm. It's also available to rent on Apple TV, Prime Video, and the Sky Store.

The Bank Job / The Hatton Garden Job - Legend Xtra - 9pm / 11.15pm
A double bill of British heist thrillers.
Angel Has Fallen - RTÉ One - 9.45pm
The third entry in Gerard Butler's 'Has Fallen' action movie franchise.
Rain Man - TG4 - 9.45pm
Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise star in this Oscar-winning comedy-drama.
Beverly Hills Cop - Sky One - 10pm
Eddie Murphy stars in this iconic action comedy as a street-smart Detroit detective who visits Beverly Hills, California, to solve the murder of his best friend.
The Mask of Zorro - Legend - 10.55pm
Antonio Banderas' beloved first outing as the dashing masked vigilante Zorro.
Jojo Rabbit - Channel 4 - 11.20pm
Director Taika Waititi's Oscar-winning comedy-drama about a boy (Roman Griffin Davis) growing up in Nazi Germany, who finds out that his mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic.
The Russia House - RTÉ One - 11.55pm
Based on the John le Carré novel of the same name, this well-liked 1990 spy thriller stars Sean Connery and Michelle Pfeiffer.
