A man aged in his 60s has died following a single-vehicle collision in Roscommon.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the crash, which occurred at Carrigans Park, Donamon, in the early hours this morning (Sunday, May 31).
The man in his 60s was the driver and sole occupant of the car.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene and his body has been conveyed to the mortuary at Galway University Hospital where a postmortem will take place in due course.
The road was currently closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area of Carrigans Park, Donamon between 5.00am and 9.00am this morning are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
