Video: One of the most spectacular truck crashes you’ll ever see

After crashing into a barrier at over 100 miles an hour and plummeting down a 15-metre bank afterwards, this truck racer, thankfully, emerged relatively unscathed.

Well, two broken legs and a right harm hardly counts as unscathed but when you see the crash for yourself, you’ll wonder how it wasn’t worse for truck racer Diumar Bueno, who was participating in a Formula Truck race at Guapore in southern Brazil recently.

Having built up to a speed of 115 miles per hour, Bueno’s brakes failed and he veered into the grass patch off the track in a vain attempt to slow down.

As you’ll see, it didn’t quite work and Bueno sped off another section of the track, through the barrier, down a 15-metre high bank and onto a road below the circuit.

Bueno would have been forgiven for thinking that he was about to meet his maker, but amazingly he survived, suffering two broken legs, a broken arm and a sore tongue, which we assume happened in the crash and not in the unfortunate and highly annoying way it happens to thousands of people each and every day.

While Bueno escaped with his life, the same can’t be said for his truck, which was a complete write-off afterwards and its remains, along with the spectacular crash itself, can be seen in the video above.
