Donncha O’Callaghan has decided to leave 2FM.
This week, Donncha O’Callaghan confirmed he was leaving 2FM, but who is set to replace the sportsman on air?
RTÉ has not yet confirmed who will replace the presenter, but a TikTok star is reportedly the favourite.
According to reports, Eric Roberts is likely to take over from Donncha on the popular radio show.
The social media star is reportedly the 2/1 favourite to replace O’Callaghan when he leaves the station in early July.
Other possible replacements include Spin 103.8’s Marty Guilfoyle, Crossy, and iRadio’s Dave Duke.
Donncha confirmed he was leaving 2FM in an emotional statement this week.
He said he had a blast hosting the Breakfast Show with Doireann Garrihy and Carl Mullan but it was time to move on to a new chapter.
Earlier today, the dad confirmed he had written a children’s book called Disaster Dad Chicken Chaos.
This is the former rugby player’s first children’s book.
Speaking about the career milestone, Donncha said: “I am delighted to announce some “disastrous news.” My 1st Children’s Book Disaster Dad Chicken Chaos.
“Its by Bonnier Books & is available from the 24th of October. You can pre-order it now online or in all good bookshops.
“I’m so proud of it and hope that you love spending time with your kids to enjoy reading it, it’s more factual than you would think, documenting the utter chaos of this Disaster Dad.
Enjoy,” he wrote.
His exit from 2FM comes after Doireann Garrihy also left the station this year.
