There’s been some adjustments.

Storm Jorge is currently battering Ireland but it seems now that the west and north-west of the country will be the worst affected.

A Status Red wind warning for Galway and Clare expired on Saturday afternoon and Met Éireann has since revised some of the warnings it had in place.

An Orange wind warning was supposed to be in place for all of Ireland, however, this has since been changed with just Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare affected by this warning now.

Severe winds associated with Storm Jorge will continue with gusts of 110km/h to 130km/h at times until midnight tonight.

Winds will gradually ease from the south through the evening as the storm centre drifts away northeastwards but there continues to be an elevated risk of coastal flooding.

Meanwhile, a Status Yellow wind warning is in effect for Leinster, Cavan, Monaghan, Roscommon, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford until 10pm on Saturday.

A snow and ice warning remains in effect until 9am on Sunday while there’s also a Status Yellow rain warning in place until midnight.
