Four people have been arrested in connection to the attack.
A Canadian tourist who was assaulted in Dublin has died in hospital.
41-year-old Neno Dolmajian, from Montreal, was attacked on O’Connell Street in the early hours of Sunday, June 23.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital after suffering serious injuries, and passed away there this afternoon, nine days after the attack.
It has been reported that his parents and sister who had travelled from Canada were at his bedside.
Four people have been arrested in connection with the attack and two men have appeared in court.

Canadian tourist dies in hospital following Dublin city attack
In an update statement to JOE on Tuesday, July 2, a spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said: “Gardaí are continuing to investigate the assault which occurred on O’Connell Street and Cathal Brugha Street, Dublin 1 on Sunday 23rd June 2024.
“The man, aged in his 40s, who was taken to the Mater Hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during this incident, has died.
“To date, four men have been arrested in connection with this incident.
“Two of these men have been charged and appeared before the Criminal Courts of Justice.
“As this matter is currently before the courts no further information is available.
“Investigations are ongoing.”
