Taylor Swift may make a visit to Galway pub after Dublin shows

JOE

The pub, which appeared in The Banshees of Inisherin, invited her for pints while she stops in Ireland for The Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift is set to play in the Aviva Stadium at the end of June.

Although she is on a tight schedule as she jets from country to country, Swift has been known to make pit stops in between shows.

Performing sold out shows every weekend is sure to be tiring, so it wouldn’t be surprising if she stopped for a drink or two.

Swift did an interview with Banshees of Inisherin director Martin McDonagh in 2022. They discussed directing as well as set design in their respective projects.

McDonagh spoke about the purpose built pub, JJ Devine’s, used for his film.

“I was actually sort of sad that you had built it. I was happy for the production design and the feat of engineering and imagination that it was but I wanted to go there,” Swift laughed.

McDonagh had joked that if the film was successful they could potentially rebuild the pub, which they did.

The exact replica of the pub has now opened in Kilkerin under the name Mee’s Pub.

Owner, Luke Mee, said Taylor Swift is “aware” of his invitation.

“Niall’s brother, Greg Horan, passed the message on to his brother, who passed it on to Taylor Swift, so she does know about it. We have the first three pints still reserved for Taylor Swift,” Mee said.

Fingers crossed she keeps her word and gets the chance to stop by!
