Well deserved.

The 2025 Hollywood Walk of Fame class has been revealed and, after over over two decades in the business, Colin Farrell will be securing his place in Hollywood history.

The Dubliner will be getting a star on the famous pathway alongside the likes of Prince, Jane Fonda and David Beckham.

More than 30 new stars including Farrell are set to be added to the Walk of Fame in the categories of motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, radio, recording and sports entertainment.

The 48-year-old has won two Golden Globes in his career for his roles in In Bruges and The Banshees of Inisherin, as well as receiving an Oscar nod for Banshees in 2022.

Farrell’s rise to fame began on Irish TV drama Ballykissangel, where he played Danny Byrne in 1998.

He enjoyed his big breakthrough starring in Joel Schumacher’s 2002 thriller Phone Booth, going on to star in the likes of Intermission, Miami Vice and In Bruges.

In more recent years, Farrell has starred in Yorgos Lanthimos flicks The Lobster and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, as well as earning an Oscar nod for his role as Pádraic Súilleabháin in The Banshees of Inisherin.

Farrell portrayed Oswald Cobblepot in The Batman in 2021 and will reprise his role in the upcoming TV spinoff The Penguin on HBO Max.

Other celebrities to receive the award this year include director John Carpenter, actors Molly Shannon and Emilio Estevez, music legends Depeche Mode, The B-52s, Green Day and Busta Rhymes, as well as footballer David Beckham.

Honorees have up to two years after they are chosen to set a date for their ceremonies.

Chairman of the Walk of Fame Selection Committee Peter Roth said: “The Walk of Fame has made history again! I am thrilled to announce the distinguished honorees who will grace the iconic Walk of Fame in the Class of 2025.

“Each honoree truly embodies the essence of excellence in their respective fields.

“The committee and I cannot wait to see our honorees becoming part of this world-famous walkway!”
