In case you’ve been living under a rock and haven’t read a paper or Irish website this week you’ll have missed the fact that there’s a big NCAA college football match in Dublin this weekend.

The Navy Midshipmen are taking Notre Dame in the Aviva Stadium in front of a capacity crowd and with many visiting Americans over.

The Navy Pep Rally is kicking off at tonight at 5.30 on Stephen’s Green in Dublin tonight while the Notre Dame Pep Rally takes place tomorrow in the O2 in Dublin and will televised on RTÉ One at 21.35pm.

There’s loads of other events that are taking place in and around what has been dubbed the Emerald Isle Classic, but if chanting, cheering, Al Pacino-style, rallying-cry speeches and cheerleaders are your thing, well here’s what you can expect from the pep rallies:
