With so much sport on this weekend the Red Bull Cliff Diving event on Inis Mor was a little lost, Here’s what you missed.

We hadn’t heard of Artem Silchenko until just now but the Russian won the Red Bull Cliff Diving event on Inis Mor this weekend.

He came out ahead of the rest in this spectacular sporting spectacle on the Aran Islands. The drop of 28 metres into the Serpent’s Lair looks terrifying to us but Artem and the other lads didn’t seem to mind as they flung themselves off the ledge before performing some sensational moves on the way down.

The weather at the start, as you can see in this clip, was pretty rough. What did they expect on the west coast in August? But it did clear up to allow the lads to do their stuff later on.

There’s some stunning dives in this clip so we hope it comes back again next year.
