The biggest KO of the weekend came courtesy of an Irishman, Mark Casserly who knocked out former UFC star Marcus Davis in spectacular fashion.

The knockout came in the World ISKA Pro K1 title event at the National Basketball Stadium in Tallaght on Sunday.

Irish-American Davis spoke of his respect for Irish fighters in an interview with JOE’s Fergus Ryan prior to the fight and found out at first-hand just how dangerous they can be as a composed Casserly hit an impressive kick on the 38-year old Davis.

Davis spoke on his Facebook account following the event saying he will now contemplate retirement.

“Time I think has caught up with me. I will be with my wife tomorrow and we will discuss my career. From the bottom of my heart I thank everyone who has ever supported me.”
