Monaghan’s finest Tommy Bowe has given his first interview to his new/old employers today. He talks his time in Wales, Ireland and why he chose his old home.

Ulster were a very strong team last year, good enough to get to the Heineken Cup final in fact. With Roger Wilson and Niall O’Connor also back at Ravenhill, new coach Mark Anscombe has a formidable looking squad at his disposal for next season too.

But the star attraction is the returning Irish international Bowe. He missed the Irish tour to New Zealand, possibly a blessing for him, as he recovers from an operation to regulate his blood pressure and he looks fresh and raring to go, promising to begin pre-season in a week or two.
