Stephen Ferris scoops award
With Leinster’s Rob Kearney winning the IRUPA Player’s award the night previous, Ulster’s talisman Stephen Ferris has also been awarded an individual honour ahead of the two province's clash in the Heineken Cup final.
Stephen Ferris scooped the top accolade of Ulster Heineken Personality of the Year following his come-back from injury and performances for Ulster and Ireland this season.
Ferris has helped Ulster to their best season in over a decade, after there were doubts that he would never play again following his knee injury.
Here's the flanker in action earlier in the season making mince-meat out of the mighty Clermont Auvergne.
Craig Gilroy saw off the challenge of Ireland Under 20s Captain Paddy Jackson to win the provinces Young Player Of The Year Award. The academy graduate has seen considerably more game time than the mercurial out-half and his try in Thomond Park last month helped secure Ulster’s passage to seen the Heineken Cup semi-finals.
