12 more people have died from Covid-19, 236 new cases

Dublin has the highest number of cases at 11,068.

12 more people have died from Covid-19 in Ireland while there has been 236 new cases notified to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre.

It brings the total number of Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland to 1,458.

The new cases mean there is now a total of 22,996 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

The HSE is working to identify any contacts the patients may have had to provide them with information and advice to prevent further spread.

6,771 of the confirmed cases are associated with healthcare workers and 383 cases in all have been admitted to intensive care units.

Dublin has the highest number of cases at 11,068 (49% of all cases) followed by Kildare with 1,324 cases (6%) and then Cork with 1,207 cases (5%)
