The Big Reviewski Ep 55 with Sonic, Jesus, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead

Rory Cashin

Greetings film fans!

It is all change this week.

Just two of the Reviewski gang are around – Eoghan Doherty and Rory Cashin – but they are joined by very special guest Bláithín Gallagher for the week!

They review new big screen releases including Emma, based on the classic Jane Austen novel, as well as Underwater – described as Alien at the bottom of the ocean – and Sonic The Hedgehog, the movie based on the hit video game series.

With that last review in mind, this week’s Big Question is “What video game would you most like to see turned into a movie?”, and then they also have to cast the lead character! Considering how many movies have already been turned into video games (and how many of them haven’t been great), maybe one of these could be the one to turn that tide.

There is also a breakdown of the trailer for The Jesus Rolls, the sorta-semi-sequel to The Big Lebowski, and obviously we had to talk about that, because… Hello… the name of the show!

They also chat to Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ella Jay Basco about their roles as Huntress and Cassandra Cain in Birds Of Prey, and we finally get to ask Mary a question about the now decade-long Scott Pilgrim V The World.

Oh, and there is a lot of talk about “mood”. Yes. “Mood.”

Don’t ask, just watch and listen here…

Now it’s time to have your head melted by this week’s Haiclue. Think you know the answer to the one below? Let us know your guess by tweeting @BigReviewski or heading over to Instagram.
