Nike gather nearly every footballer imaginable for stunning 'My Time is Now' advert

It's become customary for Nike to release an incredibly impressive, star-laden advert for every major tournament and with Euro 2012, their latest is no exception.

Beginning during a game between the Netherlands and France (both sides decked out in their new Nike kits, naturally) the pitch is stormed by a gaggle of young talent, including the likes of Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Götze and Brazilian sensation Neymar.

The rallying insight behind the clip, which includes everyone from Cristiano Ronaldo to Andres Iniesta, Wesley Sneijder, Franck Ribery, Mesut Özil, Yann M’Vila and even LeBron James, is “Don’t tell me I have potential”, as it celebrates the hunger and impatience of the next wave of football giants.

“Young players will stop at nothing to prove they’re good enough to play with the best in the game,” said Carlos Homedes, NIKE, Global Football Marketing Director.

“Their hunger and impatience to take a chance is playfully apparent in the “My Time is Now” campaign.

“A new generation of players is taking their chance and this summer will mark an exciting time as they burst onto the scene in Poland and Ukraine.”

It certainly makes for a exciting advert and one which comfortably joins the great pantheon of previous Nike football clips. We only have one complaint though – where’s Eric Cantona?
