Songs for Ireland

The veteran Italian manager might have got some stick from Irish fans in the past, but as far as the latest entry to our Euro 2012 song search is concerned, he’s yer only man.

So says Allan Hawkins, the man behind the latest in a growing number of entries for our Euro 2012 song search, ‘Trap’s yer only man’.

Alan, a Dub, has gone for the traditional approach with his entry, an upbeat, uniquely Irish tune with a catchy chorus that ends with the refrain ‘The best we've seen/the Boys in Green/and Trap your only man’.

It’s a chorus that Allan will be singing over and over again come the summer, and hopefully the rest of us will all have good reason to join in with him. In Trap we trust? Allan certainly does.
