Jedward make it to the finals in 'Edzerbaijohn'... seriously?

Everyone's least favourite set of Irish twins made it into the finals of the Eurovision last night, but not before renaming the host country to suit themselves.

Ireland was brought to a standstill last night (well, that’s pushing it a bit) as the winners of the Eurovision’s first semi-final were being announced.

Many tweens were on their hands and knees praying the Lucan lads would secure a place in the final, while the rest of us were praying they’d be kicked off so that we wouldn’t have to sit through any more sub-standard music.

Well, luckily for some, the lads were called out as the last group to secure a place in the finals, which no doubt left many fans sh*tting themselves for a while.

Okay, so we’re not the biggest fans of Jedward, or fans at all for that matter, but feck it, they’re through and Ireland has a chance of winning something, so fair play to them in that respect.

But Jaysus, what were they like? Their outfits were ‘out there’, to say the least, and the backing singers were almost louder than the lads were. And should we mention the little heart shape the two Jedwards made in the middle of the fountain? That was awkward for everyone involved.

Awkward... or Jedward. Same thing, no?

However that’s not the worst bit. As a non-Jedward fan (we’re allowed our opinions too you know) the hardest part of the whole experience to watch was when they said, "We knew we'd rock Edzerbaijohn! Thanks to all our awesome fans for voting for us. We're going to go out there on Saturday night and do our best for a Jepic win."

Edzerbaijohn? Seriously?

Ah well, they’re through now.

Could you have been any more grudging with your praise? Yes, you've made your opinions on the twins quite clear and no doubt you'd already got the gleeful article ready had they failed to qualify - but they've made the final relevant now for your country and have worked incredibly hard to do so. You could see how much it meant to them.

They did amazing! And yes this very much non tween Jedward fan had her heart in her mouth hoping that last place was theirs.
Ireland got though to the final again without the UK being able to vote for them. You might not be a fan of the twins or a fan of the Eurovision song contest but clearly they two belong together it is like they were genetically engineered to be in the Eurovision they just look at home there!
    Finger cross for Saturday.

Ah, come on man! That's not funny. It's just mean-spiritied. Credit should be given where it' due, and Jedward deserve tons of credit for successfully fighting their way through to the Eurovision Final. From their first appearance on X Factor three years ago, I have admired their can-do attitude, relentless optimism and good humour and their determination to overcome all adversity. In the process, they turned themselves into recession-hit Ireland only self-made teenage millionaires! If Ireland as a whole had more of the Jedward spirit, I reckon we'd be a lot further along the road to economic and political recovery. So I wish them the very best of luck in Saturday's Final. Now get your Jedhead on and have a Jepic day!

Time to get on the Jedward bus because they're not going away. The thing about John and Edward which is what makes them remarkable is they never breed indifference from an audience. Love them or hate them people have an opinion because everyone knows who they are.

know this blog always has mean-spiritied words to say about the twins, so I expected no less. They worked hard. I wish them a long life and much prosper — especially for this coming Saturday when Ireland may win.

Ok seriously... Prying that they would be kicked out is a bit harsh.. How would you like it if you were up on that stage singing in front of EUROPE an then you hear someone say I hope you get kicke out because your music was "sub standard." or let's say your writing was all around Europe and people said that your writing was sub standard??? Think before you speak. :/
