Easy Recipe: Minced beef tacos

28/07/2012 9:45 am

There's nothing better than a tasty meal you can make in hurry and this week's recipe couldn't be easier, or tastier for that matter, as we bring you our minced beef taco recipe.

Mince Beef Tacos

What you’ll need:

500g of minced beef
90g of mild salsa
Lettuce
8 taco shells
100g of grated cheese

What to do:

1. Firstly, you’ll want to stick your mince into a pan and cook it on a low heat until it’s brown throughout. Then put the mince and 3/4 of your salsa in a microwavable bowl and bang it on a high power for a minute or until it’s piping hot throughout.

2. Next you can prepare your lettuce. Wash it under the cold tap and then shred it up into bite-sized pieces.

3. Separate the taco shells into pairs. You should end up with four pairs if you’ve done the maths correctly. Divide the mince and salsa mixture between the shells and then top them off with your lettuce and cheese. You can then add the remaining salsa to the tacos and now you’re done.

As you can see this is possibly the easiest of our easy recipes and it’s perfect for a pre-game snack or a quick bite to eat before you head out.

Easygoing Tip: If you want to add a bit of a kick to your dinner then try using a hot salsa instead of a mild one. Alternatively, you could add a dollop of guacamole if you wanted to cool things down.
