Already in this Cocktail How-to Guide we've done simple, we've done complicated and we've done a traditional lads' favourite. Now we'll give you one to get the girls on your side: the Jameson Appletini.

All you'll need is a generous measure of Jameson, some triple sec and a dash of red vermouth - Martini Rosso is the obvious one but if you need to pick some up there will probably be a few alternatives depending on where you go.

Oh, and you'll also need ice - you can use any spare cubes to cool yourself down, because after this you'll be so damn hot - and a bit of bravado wouldn't go astray too.

To serve, you'll need a Martini glass and a wedge of apple. Apple has not been this cool since the day a wise old charlatan of a green-grocer told us that one a day would keep the doctor away.
